Emerald Book Club – Return & Refund Policy

At Emerald Book Club, we want every customer to have a positive experience when purchasing books or other items from our online store. If you are not fully satisfied with your order, please review our return and refund guidelines below.

1. Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns for the following:

Physical Books

You may return a physical book if:

  • It arrived damaged or defective
  • You received the wrong item
  • The book is unused, in its original condition, and returned within 14 days of delivery

Non-returnable Items

For quality and copyright reasons, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Digital products (eBooks, PDFs, audio files)
  • Downloaded or accessed content
  • Gift cards or vouchers
  • Sale or clearance items (unless damaged on arrival)

2. Condition of Returned Items

Returned books must:

  • Be in the same condition as received
  • Have no markings, stains, or signs of use
  • Include all original packaging (if applicable)

We reserve the right to refuse refunds for books that do not meet these criteria.

3. Reporting a Problem

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  1. Email us at [insert contact email]
  2. Include your order number
  3. Attach clear photos of:
    • The damage or issue
    • The packaging (if damaged in transit)

Reports must be made within 7 days of delivery.

4. Return Process

Once your return request is approved:

  1. We will provide the return address
  2. You must post the item within 7 days
  3. Return postage:
    • If the error is on our end (wrong or damaged item), we cover the cost
    • If returning for any other reason, the customer covers postage

5. Refunds

Refunds will be issued once the returned item is inspected and approved.

  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method
  • Please allow 5–10 business days for processing after approval

If the item is not eligible for refund, we will notify you via email.

6. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for:

  • Damaged items
  • Incorrect items received

If the book you want to exchange is out of stock, you may choose a refund or store credit.

7. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 2 hours of purchase if not yet processed.
After this window, cancellations may not be possible.
