Emerald Book Club is more than a reading group — we’re a movement. Our community-driven projects bring books, arts, conversation, and care into parks, public spaces, and people’s lives. Here’s how we’re making an impact:
At Emerald Book Club, we believe in the power of reading, creativity, and connection to change lives. Through a range of community-focused projects, we are making literature, arts, and social engagement accessible, joyful, and meaningful
Read Chat and Connect
Our flagship social inclusion programme. Through group reading sessions, games, discussion and snacks, we build connections and reduce loneliness — especially for vulnerable adults and older people.
Silent Book Club
Enjoy quiet reading time with others in a peaceful, non-judgmental space. Bring your own book, sip a drink, and soak in nature at Red House Park every second Wednesday of the month.
Environmental Action Through Reading
We combine our love for books with care for the planet. Activities include eco-themed storytime, community clean-ups, planting projects, and nature writing.
Poetic Flows Podcast
Poetic Flows Podcast is a haven for poetry lovers and creative souls. Our mission is to weave together the beauty of poetry with the depth of human emotion, offering a unique auditory experience that inspires and uplifts.
